In 2022 the Powertech Marine team embarked on an ambitious international challenge and secured a World Record.
The team’s driver, Sam Whittle, took part in the UIM F2 World Championship and competed at races held in Poland, Lithuania, and Portugal.
Racing in only his third international event at this level in Ribadouro, he secured an impressive fifth place.
Whittle’s season closed out on a high when he captured the F2 World Speed Record on Coniston Water.
He bettered the existing record by 1.05 mph (which was set by his father Keith in 2013) with a speed of 133.23 mph.
